BOARD OF DIRECTORS MESSAGE: Are you looking for a job? Are you a veteran or service member or part of their family? Are you part of the general public looking for a job?

There is a great opportunity for you to meet with more than 40 employers who have jobs ready to fill. The third annual Hiring Maine’s Heroes Job Fair is Nov. 12 at the Brunswick Knights of Columbus Hall, Columbus Drive, Brunswick.

The job fair takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with veterans only from 10 to 11 a.m. Then it will be open to the general public. All attendees should bring copies of their resume and be prepared to interview.

Brig. Gen. Gerard Bolduc, Maine Air National Guard commander, will open the job fair with an ESGR (Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve) Statement of Support Signing. Then all are invited to meet with 42 employers.

At noon, a mini-Transition Assistance Program workshop for recently separated veterans is facilitated by Wendy Moody, a transition assistance adviser for the state of Maine with Skyline Unlimited. She’ll cover a wide range of topics to help with the reintegration process for the returning veteran.
