Police are saying Sunday’s unusual storm is responsible for the death of a woman in Washington County.
The storm, which hammered parts of the midcoast and Down East but left little in southern Maine, left more than 130,000 without power. About 43,000 Central Maine Power Co. customers still didn’t have electricity at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday.
A Lubec woman died Sunday evening when her pickup went off the road on Route 189 at 6:30 p.m. Danielle Moores, 28, lost control in heavy snow and the truck rolled and came to rest on its roof in a bog, Maine State Police said.
She died at the scene.
Forecasters expect another storm – this one bringing rain – on Thursday.
