PORTLAND — Democratic Rep. Mark Dion will return to Augusta for a third, two-year term after defeating Republican challenger Shannon Rafferty-Roy Tuesday 2,531 to 1,245 in the new Maine House District 43.
Roy did not run an active campaign for the seat. House District 43 consists of northern Portland between the Westbrook and Falmouth boundaries and the area of Falmouth between Interstate 295 and the Maine Turnpike Spur.
