Democrat Joyce McCreight of Harpswell won the House District 51 seat.
McCreight, a retired social worker, received 53.3 percent of the vote against Byron D. Watson, 35, a marketing sales strategist from Brunswick, who ran as a Republican.
The district includes Harpswell, West Bath and part of Brunswick.
