A fire in a concrete plant was quickly brought under control Monday night by members of the Topsham Fire Department.

Deputy Fire Chief Russell Cloutier said the fire started around 6 p.m. in a roof of the Auburn Concrete plant on Meadow Way, an extension off Route 201.

Cloutier said firefighters were able to contain the fire to the roof. No one was injured.

A delivery truck driver who was washing a truck inside the plant spotted the fire and notified authorities.
