I glanced at an Associated Press article in the front section of the paper Oct. 23 titled: “CIA accused of wanting to bury facts of torture.”

It seems that a Democratic senator from Oregon, Ron Wyden, who is on the Senate Intelligence Committee (now there’s an oxymoron for you), and President Obama are concerned that the use of sleep deprivation, waterboarding and other harsh techniques used on some detainees constitutes torture.

They may want to explain what they call the televised beheading of citizens of the U.S. and other nations.

As we dawdle and argue on the national stage, illustrating how fair we must be to murderers and thugs lest we offend their rights, they are planning the next phase of their jihad against America.

God help us all.
