Parts of Scarborough were without power Friday morning after a car crash toppled a utility pole at 1:30 a.m.
Emerson Veliz, 26, of Scarborough, was charged with driving under the influence.
He was not injured in the crash, which occurred at Holmes Road near Two Rod Road.
Electricity in the area remained out until mid-morning when utility crews had replaced the pole.
