After back-to-back trips to the Class A state final and a championship in 2013, Falmouth’s volleyball program is saying goodbye to seven special seniors, all of whom qualified for postseason honors. The senior group includes Leigh Bernardy, Jess Burton, Ally Hickey, Sophie Emple, Megan Tammaro, Molly Meyer and Callie McMahon. All seven qualified for the Maine Volleyball Coaches’ Association All-Academic team. Burton, McMahon, Meyer and Tammaro made the first team, while Bernardy, Emple and Hickey made the second team. Bernardy, Hickey and Tammaro competed in the Senior Showcase earlier this month and Hickey and Tammaro were both named to the Class A All-State first team.
