Warren Riess of Walpole, president of the North American Society for Oceanic History, is launching his first book, “Angel Gabriel: The Elusive English Galleon.” The book details the history of and search for the remains of the 17th-century ship built for Sir Walter Raleigh’s last expedition to America in 1617. It was shipwrecked in 1635 at Pemaquid. Riess will talk about his 30 years of research to discover the particulars of the story.
