DAYTON — Reta Elaine Tozier, 81, of Dayton, passed away peacefully on Nov. 24, 2014 at her home.
She was born in Cornish on Feb. 5, 1933, a daughter of the late Carl and Evelyn (Gray) Day.
After graduating from Cornish schools, Reta went on to attend and graduate from Gorham Teacher’s College.
Afterward, she began her career as a teacher, and was a longtime teacher at Lyman Elementary School.
She was preceded in death by: her siblings, Dwight Day, Philip Day and Esther McDonald.
Reta is survived by: her beloved husband, Richard “Dick” Tozier of Dayton; children, Gregory Tozier and his wife Theresa Greeley and Richard Tozier and his girlfriend Amy Reynolds, all of Dayton; brother, Basil Day; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be on Friday, Nov. 28 from 6-8 p.m. at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 498 Long Plains Road (Route 22) in Buxton. Online condolences may be submitted at www.mainefuneral.com.
