BUXTON — A mother and son were arrested on firearms charges Monday.

York County Sheriff’s Office deputies, their Cumberland County counterparts, Buxton Police and a federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agent arrested Raymond Pinkham, 21, and his mother, Louise Cook, 49.

Circumstances of their arrest and where it took place in Buxton were not available this morning.

Pinkham was charged with receiving stolen property, a Class B felony, because the stolen property included a firearm, according to York County Chief Deputy Bill King.

Cook was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person; she has previous felony convictions.

Both mother and son were taken to York County Jail in Alfred, where each of them were being held on $25,000 cash bail.
