MANSFIELD, CONNECTICUT — Marion (Hamor) Bracy, 86, formerly of Yarmouth, died Nov. 9.

Bracy was born Feb. 29, 1928, in Seal Harbor, the daughter of Walter and Evelyn (Libby) Hamor.

She enjoyed reading, crocheting, knitting, quilting and playing progressive rummy with family and friends. She especially enjoyed preparing her home-made peanut butter fudge treats, and was fondly known for many years in Yarmouth as “the Fudge Lady.”

She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Bracy, and her sister, Virginia Tillinghast.

She is survived by her children, Leroy Lowe and his wife, Cheryl, of Coventry, Connecticut, Jane Nichols and her husband, Roderick, of Hampton, Connecticut, and Douglas Lowe and his wife, Lorraine, of Willimantic, Connecticut; and her brothers, Richard Hamor, of Winterport, and Maurice Hamor, of Brunswick. She is also survived by six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A service in Bracy’s memory will be held Saturday, Dec. 13, at 1 p.m., at the First Baptist Church of Yarmouth, 346 Main St., Yarmouth.
