A small stretch of Interstate 95 near Bangor was closed Saturday night by the Maine State Police after cars slid off because of icy roads.
State police said the southbound lanes were closed at Exit 167 for Etna and cars were allowed to re-enter the highway at Exit 161 in Plymouth. The section of highway was shut down for about an hour, police said, to deal with the slide-offs and allow Maine Department of Transportation trucks to spread salt.
A state police dispatcher said there was one collision involving two cars and no one was hurt. She also said a tractor-trailer slid off and will probably not be removed until Sunday.
