SCARBOROUGH — Emmett Peoples hit three of his seven 3-pointers during an 18-4 run in the third quarter as Scarborough surged past Westbrook for a 55-47 boys’ basketball win Thursday night.

Peoples finished with 21 points and Sam Freeman added 11 for Scarborough (2-0), which trailed 27-24 at halftime.

Blake Fillmore led Westbrook (1-1) with 17 points. Sean Jany tossed in 16.

PORTLAND 62, NOBLE 44: Amir Moss scored 18 points and Liam Densmore added 14 for the Bulldogs (2-0), who jumped out to a 22-8 lead after one quarter on their way to a win over the Knights (0-2) at Portland.

Shane Cleveland led Noble with 15 points and Brandon Davis scored 12.

FALMOUTH 57, WELLS 37: Colin Coyne had 23 points and five assists to lead the Yachtsmen (2-0) past the Warriors (0-3) at Falmouth.

Jack Simonds added 12 points and eight rebounds.

Owen Berry and Deandre Woods each scored 10 points for Wells.

TRAIP ACADEMY 79, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 49: Joe Cavanagh hit a pair of 3-pointers to spark a 29-point third quarter as the Rangers (2-0) pulled away from the Panthers (1-1) at Yarmouth.

Colin Macomber led four Traip players in double figures with 16 points. Cavanagh and Angelo Succi each scored 15 and Daniel Tokarz added 10.

DJ Nicholas paced NYA with 15 points and nine steals.

MORSE 76, ERSKINE ACADEMY 48: Keegan McDonough scored 21 points and Ethan Winglass added 16 for the Shipbuilders (2-0) in a win over the Eagles (0-2) at South China.

Morse outscored Erskine 27-9 in the second quarter to open a 36-21 lead.

Trevor Browne led Erskine with 12 points.

GREENVILLE 51, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 44: Trevor Richards paced Greenville with 17 points as the Lakers opened their season with a win over the visiting Lions (1-3).

Mason Jones had 12 points and seven rebounds for GPCS. Matt Hammond contributed 10 points and five assists.

HYDE 38, SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 29: Antoine Montgomery scored 16 points for the Phoenix (1-0) in a win over the Guardians (1-1) at Bath.

MEDOMAK VALLEY 67, MT. VIEW 38: Hannah Marks scored 25 points and the Panthers (2-0) built a 17-2 lead in the first quarter against the visiting Mustangs (0-2) at Waldoboro.

Maggie Cox added 17 points for the Panthers, who made 25 of 31 free throws.

Andrea Crosby paced Mt. View with nine points.

LINCOLN ACADEMY 48, CAMDEN HILLS 33: Gabrielle Wajer had 14 points, six assists and four steals as the Eagles (2-0) beat the Windjammers (1-1) at Rockport.

Lincoln also got 11 points and nine rebounds form Avae Traina.

Charlotte Messer led Camden Hills with 11 points.

TRAIP ACADEMY 52, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 7: Jessica Segura paced a balanced offense with 10 points as the Rangers (1-1) handled the Panthers (0-1) at Kittery.

The Rangers led 19-0 after one quarter and 32-3 at halftime.

PINE TREE ACADEMY 39, FOREST HILLS 35: Alex Goodman had 29 points and 18 rebounds as the Breakers (3-0) held off the Tigers (2-1) at Jackman.

Forest Hills went on a 17-3 run in the fourth quarter to cut a 16-point deficit to two before Goodman hit a layup with less than a minute remaining.

Kim Emerson had four points, 10 rebounds and 10 blocked shots for Pine Tree.

Keely Taylor led Forest Hills with 14 points.

HYDE 49, SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 27: Lilli Allen scored 22 points, including five 3-pointers, as the Phoenix (1-0) beat the Guardians (1-2) at Bath.

Lutes Bartlett added 12 points and Timesha Walker finished with 10 for Hyde.

GREENVILLE 57, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 48: Courtney Mann scored 21 points to lead the Lakers (1-0) past the Lions (0-4) at Greenville.

Ashley Mace chipped in with 13 points for Greenville.

Clarissa Jones led all scorers with 24 points and 10 rebounds for GPCS, while Ashlee Dawson added eight points and five blocked shots.

ST. DOMINIC 54, MADISON 41: Faith Grady scored 44 points and was 8 for 10 from the free-throw line as the Saints (1-3) upended the Bulldogs (2-1) at Auburn.

St. Dominic led by as many as 11 in the third quarter, but Madison fought back to tie the contest just before the end of the quarter. Caroline Gastonguay hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give the Saints the lead going into the fourth quarter.

Aly LeBlanc and Madeline Wood led Madison with 11 points apiece.

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 42, CARRABEC 38: Sydney Wilson scored 15 points as the Mustangs (2-0) nudged past the Cobras (0-2) at North Anson.

Haley West added 12 points for Monmouth, which used an 18-10 third-quarter run to take the lead.

Emma Pluntke and Mickayla Willette each had 11 points for Carrabec, while Kate Stevens added 10.

CHEVERUS 8, SOUTH PORTLAND/FREEPORT/WAYNFLETE 1: James Kane scored a pair of first-period goals as the Stags (2-0) beat the Red Riots (1-1) at Portland Ice Arena.

Ryan McSorley, Jesse Cyr-Brophy and Luke Trickey each added a goal and an assist. Alex Libby, Keegan Thomas and Garrett Dion also scored, and Jesse Pierce and Quintin Farr each contributed a pair of assists.

Tyler Goldberg scored and Joe Grant made 39 saves for the Red Riots.

WATERVILLE 5, GREELY 0: Justin Wentworth scored twice as the Panthers beat the Rangers in a mutual season opener at Waterville.

Nick Denis added a goal and an assist, and Michael Oliveira and Matt Jolicoeur contributed a goal apiece.
