BIDDEFORD — The parents of an 18-year-old Biddeford woman allegedly slain by her boyfriend’s landlord during a dispute over parking and snow removal have sued the landlord.
Jocelyn Welch and Danny Welch, representing the estate of their daughter, Alivia Welch, are seeking damages and other fees in the wrongful death and negligence lawsuit filed last month against James Pak and his wife, Armit Pak.
The Journal Tribune reported that the lawsuit alleges James Pak acted with malice toward Welch, and that he and his wife “intentionally, recklessly or negligently failed to take any action to stop Mr. Pak’s foreseeable actions resulting in Alivia’s conscious pain and suffering.”
James Pak has pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder for allegedly killing Welch and her boyfriend, 19-year-old Derrick Thompson in December 2012.
