As we celebrate Christmas and later the new year, I would hope all take a moment to also celebrate and remember all our young men and women serving all over the world. We are able to celebrate year after year because our forefathers and subsequent generations did their duty to make sure America would always be free.

If you haven’t already done so, please write, email, Skype or mail a letter to loved ones serving or a neighbor serving. Or send a Care package if don’t know anyone – believe me those serving will appreciate it.

Remember we have 180 bases throughout the world and millions of kids and older military members who may or may not receive acknowledgment; so if in doubt, check with local groups who keep track of our heroes. This writer served three years overseas and remembers getting letters and packages, and the feeling of knowing that he was not alone. So please remember!
