I, for one, as a college graduate, firmly agree with the Dec. 18 editorial: “Our View: Employers and schools should get on the same page.” I feel that the first step here is to be in the same book.

When it comes to “alignment” – the buzzword now in vogue – employers, educators and the state need to be in agreement for the benefit of students putting in the time and effort, as well as paying the money to discover and develop means to thrive in the working world.

As the editorial pointed out, money for education is being put into the economy and helps with the development of a healthy supply and demand.

It’s too bad to see that “Mainers have the lowest per capita income in New England.” Maybe we need new authors for a new book for new generations to come.
