A street in Portland’s West End neighborhood has been closed to traffic after a water main broke Wednesday afternoon, disrupting service to four Portland Water District customers.
Michelle Clements, a spokeswoman for the water district, said that a 2-inch water main burst around 4:30 p.m. A Portland police department dispatcher said Clifford Street was closed to traffic following the break.
Clements said the water district expects to complete the repairs by 11:30 p.m.
