He was born July 15, 1945, in Brunswick, the son of Camille E. and Laurence Theberge Gagne.

He attended St. John’s School in Brunswick and graduated from St. Dominic’s High School in Lewiston. After serving in the U.S. Army, Gagne graduated from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in 1972. That year, on his birthday, he married Charlene St. Pierre.

Gagne was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan, loved to travel and spend time at the ocean, and enjoyed “tinkering around” and solving jigsaw puzzles. His favorite foods were Maine lobster and Alaskan king crab legs. Family was most important to him, and he particularly enjoyed playing games with his granddaughter and watching her perform gymnastics.
