Police say a couple broke into a camp on China Lake in China and lived there for several days, causing $5,000 to $10,000 in damage to the interior.

Police charged Jamee D. Lemons, 26, and Samuel Cook, 31, who have no fixed address, with burglary after their arrest at a motel in Belfast on Wednesday. Cook also was charged with theft, aggravated criminal mischief and a separate burglary alleging he broke into a different camp, police said.

Lemons is on probation for a conviction in Tennessee and is wanted on an arrest warrant from that state.

Both are being held in the Kennebec County jail.
