BELFAST — “Face to Face with Maine’s Farmers,” a photo exhibit at Maine Farmland Trust Gallery, opens Friday and runs through Feb. 10.

The exhibit features more than 100 photos of Maine farmers. The images range from selfies to artful photographs submitted by people who appreciate the work farmers do. Together the photos showcase the diversity of people devoting their lives to farming in Maine. Some of the farmers in the exhibit include Jackson Mcleod and Tyler Gaudet from Fluid Farms in North Yarmouth, Geoff Keating and Ryan Houghton of Fort Fairfield, and Maria and Richard King of Goat Spirit Farm in Liberty.

“Agriculture in Maine is growing and diversifying, and this show really reflects that,” said John Piotti, president and chief executive officer of Maine Farmland Trust, in a press release. “The photos show farmers of all ages and from all backgrounds, many of whom are experimenting with new techniques and products, like fish or hops.”

The gallery is located at 97 Main St. It is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information, go to mainefarmlandtrustgallery.org.
