OLD ORCHARD BEACH — May Ellen O’Reilly of Old Orchard Beach, and formerly of Reading, Massachusetts, died Thursday, Jan. 1 at Seal Rock at Atlantic Heights.

She was born Sept. 15, 1942 in Boston, Massachusetts, daughter of Edward Francis and May Lydia (Brown) O’Reilly.

May began her career working at (Pour Vous)-Schlager-Bulfinch Co. in Boston as office manager and comptroller. After 25 years she retired and relocated to Maine.

Here, she worked at Atria in Kennebunk as a caregiver and med tech for six years, then became a certified hospice volunteer.

She is survived by: cousins Kenneth Brown of Stoughton, Massachusetts, Jennifer, Anthony and Dominic McGloin of Stoughton, Massachusetts, Scott Brown and Shawn Hamilton, both of Attleboro, Massachusetts, Dorothy Jones of Malden, Massachusetts, Eric Jones of Everett, Massachusetts, Kimberley Tobey and Jaden Foto, both of Saugus, Massachusetts, Barbara and William Arlington of Georgetown, Massachusetts, Edwin Hobart of Boston, Massachusetts, and Ellenor and Ben Johnson of Phoenix, Alabama.

She is also survived by: longtime friends Mary (Bunny) Metevier of Boston, Massachusetts, Margo Clay of Old Orchard Beach, Vika Gudoshnikova, Emmanuel and Elijah Libby of Old Orchard Beach, Connie Lines of Old Orchard Beach, and Joseph Grondin of Saco.
