CHICAGO — Patrick Sharp scored 1:17 into overtime to give the Chicago Blackhawks a 5-4 win over Dallas on Sunday night and snap the Stars’ four-game winning streak.

Sharp drove past Jason Spezza down the slot, took Duncan Keith’s feed from the left point and beat Kari Lehtonen with a shot that slipped between the goalie’s body and his blocker.

Tampa Bay 4, Ottawa 2: Tyler Johnson scored two goals and Nikita Kucherov had two assists to lead Tampa Bay to a win over host Ottawa.

The Lightning took a 3-2 lead into the third period and increased that to 4-2 at the 7:58 mark on Johnson’s second goal of the game, just three seconds after Chris Phillips emerged from the penalty box to put an end to a Lightning power play.

CAPITALS 4, PANTHERS 3: Alex Ovechkin had a goal and an assist and Washington earned a win over Florida in Washington.

Brooks Laich and Karl Alzner added second-period goals for Washington, which has won 10 straight home games against the Panthers.

BLUE JACKETS 4, AVALANCE 3: David Savard drove in a shot from just inside the blue line at 18:59 of the third period, lifting Columbus past Colorado in Denver.

Savard, whose turnover early in the game led to a goal for Colorado, was able to get enough on the puck to knock it past Semyon Varlamov.

DUCKS 4, PREDATORS 3: Defenseman Francois Beauchemin scored the tying goal with 2:17 left in the third period and Ryan Kesler got the deciding goal in the shootout, giving Anaheim a victory over Nashville in Anaheim.

Matt Beleskey and Corey Perry also had goals in regulation for the league-leading Ducks.

Notes

The Flyers were fined an undisclosed amount of money for traveling on Dec. 26, a clear violation of the Collective Bargaining Agreement’s moratorium on team activities during the holiday break.
