PORTLAND — Maine Red Claws point guard Tim Frazier capped off the best week of his career with more hardware. Frazier has been named league Performer of the Week for the week ending on Jan. 4. It’s the second time this season Frazier has received Performer of the Week honors, with the first being for the week ending Dec. 7.

Frazier helped the Red Claws go 3-0 on the week, including dropping in the game-winning basket Friday in Westchester with 0.1 seconds remaining. Frazier scored 24 points in that victory on 10 of 11 shooting, as well as 10 rebounds.

On Wednesday vs. Texas, Frazier finished with four points, seven rebounds and a career-high 14 assists, leading Maine to a 122-106 win.

The best game of the week came Saturday at the Expo. Frazier finished with a career-high 34 points, along with seven rebounds, 12 assists and no turnovers. The Red Claws beat Delaware, 137-130.

This season, Frazier is averaging 15.2 points, 8.3 assists (fourth in the league), 6.6 rebounds and 2.2 steals (tied for third in the league) through 17 games.

The Red Claws have the best record in the NBA D-League at 15-3, and will host Santa Cruz this Friday and Saturday. Both games are 7 p.m. tip-offs.
