CUMBERLAND — Matt McDevitt scored eight of his 21 points in the third quarter to spark Greely’s go-ahead rally during a 63-52 victory over York in a Western Class B boys’ basketball game Thursday night.

The Rangers (6-3) were behind right from the start, as the Wildcats (4-5) opened with a 14-1 run and led 18-7 after one quarter.

Ryan Twitchell scored seven points and Greely sank three 3-pointers while outscoring York 22-13 in the second quarter, and the Rangers took over with an 18-7 run in the third.

Gabe Axelson had 17 points for Greely, and Twitchell finished with 11.

Mark MacGlashing scored 11 for York. Spencer Cribby added 10.

FALMOUTH 53, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 39: Jack Simonds had 26 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists and five steals to lead the Yachtsmen (6-3) to a win over Fryeburg Academy (5-4) at Falmouth.

Ryan Gullikson scored 16 points for the Raiders.

KENNEBUNK 44, WELLS 42: Zachary MacKinnon scored 12 points and made the winning shot with 2 seconds remaining to lift the Rams (1-6) to a win at Wells (4-5).

Jack Lapham added 11 points for Kennebunk.

Nate Booth had 15 points, including four 3-pointers, for Wells.

YARMOUTH 67, TRAIP ACADEMY 39: Jordan Brown scored 12 points in the first half as the Clippers (8-1) opened a 40-13 lead against Traip (3-4) in Yarmouth.

Brown finished with 14 points, and Adam LaBrie had 12. Daniel Tokarz scored 11 for the Rangers.

LAKE REGION 71, FREEPORT 39: Jackson Lesure scored 18 points to lead the Lakers (6-3) past the Falcons (0-9) at Freeport.

Quinn Piland added 15 points for Lake Region, while Tyler Walker and Marcus DeVoe had 11 and 10 respectively.

Jack Davenport led Freeport with 10 points.

MESSALONSKEE 52, BRUNSWICK 48: Nick Mayo had 20 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks, and the Eagles (7-4) rallied in the fourth quarter to beat the Dragons (4-6) at Brunswick.

Taylor Turner added 13 points for the Eagles, who were down five points with 4 minutes remaining.

Alex Bandouveres led the Dragons with 14 points.

MARSHWOOD 62, SCARBOROUGH 57: Drew Bartlett sank a pair of free throws with 10 seconds left to push a three-point lead to five and cap the Hawks’ victory over Scarborough in South Berwick.

Bartlett finished with 18 points, eight of them in the fourth quarter. Baili Lontine-Kearson added 14 for Marshwood (4-5), and Noah McDaniel had 10.

Milani Hicks netted 18 points for the Red Storm (6-5). Nathaniel Wessel had 15 and Jacob Gardner 10.

CAPE ELIZABETH 71, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 58: Ethan Murphy scored 16 points, Edward Galvin and Justin Guerrette added 14 apiece, and the Capers (7-2) beat the Patriots (4-5) at Cape Elizabeth.

James Mango paced Gray-New Gloucester with 18 points. Andreas Kariotis and Tyler St. Pierre had 15 and 10 points respectively.

POLAND 58, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 47: Alan Young netted 21 points for the Knights (4-5) in a win against Old Orchard (3-4) in Poland.

Poland, ahead 31-26 at the half, pushed the lead to 10 early in the third quarter and maintained a cushion the rest of the way.

Adam Mocciola added 12 points for Poland. Zach Hirst scored 16 for the Seagulls. Eric Hogan had 11 and Evan Christensen 10.

THORNTON ACADEMY 52, CHEVERUS 40: Corey Hart scored 11 of his 15 points during a 21-4 rally in the third quarter as the Golden Trojans (3-5) handled the Stags (5-4) at Portland.

Kevin Barrett and Benjamin Lambert each scored 11 points for Thornton, which led 44-31 after three quarters.

Derek Hammond and Zordan Holman had 12 points apiece for Cheverus.

HYDE 47, VALLEY 30: Kiefer Cundy was 9 for 9 from the line and finished with 11 points as Hyde (5-1) topped Valley (6-3) at Bath.

SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 50, NYA 39: Caleb La Croix and Tim Yeaton scored six points each in the fourth quarter as the Guardians (8-1) used a 16-8 run to put away North Yarmouth Academy (5-4) at Eliot.

Yeaton finished with 25 points. Isaac La Croix had 13 and Caleb La Croix 11.

D.J. Nicholas netted 11 points for the Panthers.

CONY 75, BANGOR 65: Tyler Tardiff and Liam Stokes each scored 19 points to lead the Rams (8-3) over Bangor (4-6) at Augusta. T.J. Cusick chipped in with 15 points for Cony.

HOCKEY

ST. DOMINIC 4, GREELY 3: Caleb Labrie chopped home the rebound of Noah Toussaint’s shot 6:08 into overtime, giving St. Dom’s (5-1-1) a victory over the Rangers (1-7) in Falmouth.

Toussaint had fired a wrist shot from high in the zone that bounced off goalie Kyle Kramlich’s chest.

Greely took a 3-2 third-period lead on a pair of goals by Andrew Ray before Mitch Lorenz connected for St. Dominic with 44 seconds left in regulation.

Kramlich finished with 41 saves.

GORHAM 10, MASSABESIC/BONNY EAGLE/OOB 1: Travis Mansir scored four goals to lead the Rams (7-1) to an overwhelming victory over Massabesic/Bonny Eagle/Old Orchard Beach (2-7) at Gorham.

CAPE ELIZABETH 5, PORTLAND/DEERING 2: Ben Ekedahl and Alex Glidden each scored twice, and Cape Elizabeth (4-4) used four third-period goals to beat Portland/Deering (4-6) at Portland.

Ben Shea added a goal and an assist for the Capers.

Ryan Ruhlin and Mason Martell scored for Portland/Dearing, and Brent Rickett had two assists.
