BIDDEFORD — Host Biddeford hung with defending Class A state champion Portland for a half, but the Bulldogs flexed their muscles in the third quarter, as they eased to a 67-33 victory in an SMAA boys basketball game at Tiger Gym on Friday.
Portland (9-0) held a 23-16 lead at halftime before pouring in 29 points in the third. Liam Densmore and Amir Moss each scored 17 points for the Bulldogs.
Biddeford (1-8) was led by Patrick Pearl, with 11 points. Alex Millett and Austin Dutremble pitched in with seven and four, respectively.
