NORTH BERWICK — Shane Cleveland scored 23 points, including five 3-pointers, as Noble downed Thornton Academy 63-56 in an SMAA schoolboy basketball game Friday night.

Cleveland made two 3-pointers in the final two minutes.

Nolan Smeeton added 15 points with 14 rebounds for Noble (2-8).

Corey Hart had 24 points and Benjamin Lambert 17 points for Thornton (3-6). Hart and Lambert combined for seven 3-pointers.

PORTLAND 67, BIDDEFORD 33: Liam Densmore and Amir Moss scored 17 points each as the Bulldogs (9-0) downed the Tigers (1-9) at Biddeford.

Densmore scored 10 points in the first quarter as Portland grabbed a 14-2 lead. Moss had 11 points in the third quarter as the Bulldogs used a 29-10 run to make it 52-26.

Stephen Alex chipped in 11 points for Portland. Patrick Pearl led Biddeford with 11.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 38, LINCOLN ACADEMY 35: Austin Darling hit a 3-pointer midway through the fourth quarter that gave the Phoenix (6-5) the lead for good against the Eagles (6-5) at Newcastle.

Anthony York scored a game-high 14 points and Darling finished with 10 for Spruce Mountain, which outscored Lincoln 12-6 in the fourth quarter to erase a 29-26 deficit.

Travis Creamer scored 11 points and Cody Tozier had 10 for the Eagles.

WISCASSET 73, CARRABEC 59: Brandon Sprague scored a game-high 29 points, and also had seven rebounds, three assists and three steals to lead the Wolverines (3-8) against the Cobras (0-9) at Wiscasset.

Ethan James added 14 points, and Logan Orr finished with nine points and six rebounds for Wiscasset. Jackson Lawler Sidell led Carrabec with 15 points.

DEERING 96, MASSABESIC 48: Garang Majok scored a game-high 21 points to pace five players in double figures for the Rams (7-3) against the Mustangs (1-9) at Waterboro.

Moses Oreste and Raffaele Salamone added 16 points apiece for Deering, which outscored the Mustangs 25-12 in the second quarter to extend a 15-13 first-quarter lead.

Deering also got 13 points from Malik White and 11 from Max Chabot.Adam Deangelis led Massabesic with 15 points.

SACOPEE VALLEY 75, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 43: Dominic Locke and Blake Trueworthy combined for 16 points in the second quarter as the Hawks (2-5) went on a 28-14 run to pull away from the Lions (2-6) at South Hiram.

Locke and Trueworthy finished with 16 points apiece, and Will Goforth added 13 points for Sacopee.

MEDOMAK VALLEY 69, MARANACOOK 54: Nicholas DePatsy had 26 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists to lead Medomak Valley (9-2) over the Black Bears (3-8) at Waldoboro.

MORSE 46, WINSLOW 44: Ethan Winglass converted a three-point play to tie the game and Keegan McDonough’s basket gave the Shipbuilders (9-2) the lead as they rallied past the Raiders (10-1) at Bath.

GARDINER 58, OCEANSIDE 55: Seth McFarland scored 20 points, and Brad Weston added 18 points and seven rebounds to lead Gardiner (9-2) over Oceanside (7-4) at Rockland.
