WINSLOW— A Winslow man has been arrested on charges of possessing child pornography.
Maine State Police say 45-year-old Darrin Cates was arrested at his home on Friday after the State Police Computer Crimes Unit searched his home and found hundreds of sexually explicit images and movies downloaded on his computer.
Cates, who is a self-employed web designer, was being held on $500 bail.
It was not immediately known if he is being represented by an attorney.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 17.
