Re: “Postal Service change leaves some Portland boxes empty” (Jan. 14):
I am a Postal Service employee at the Scarborough processing center. As a processing clerk, I would like our customers to know that even though there has been a decline in first class mail, we do continue to put our energy in processing that mail every day.
Your mail, whether it be letter mail or the growing number of packages, is appreciated and handled with care every day.
It was not an employee decision to change the processing of your mail on a daily basis – just be patient as we all go through this new wave of mail processing. Thank you for your continued support for the U.S. Postal Service!
