LOS ANGELES — Comedian and actor Louis C.K. will sell his next stand-up special, “Louis C.K. Live From the Comedy Store,” on his own website first, replicating the strategy that worked for one of his previous programs.

The special will debut on Louisck.net and then air this spring on 21st Century Fox’s FX cable-television channel, FX Networks CEO John Landgraf said at a Jan. 18 event. The channel already is home to the performer’s show “Louie.” C.K. is touring and sold out three consecutive shows at Madison Square Garden, FX said.

An earlier stand-up special, “Live From the Beacon Theater,” took in more than $1 million in sales in less than two weeks during December 2011, C.K. said at the time.
