MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Businessman Donald Trump says he’s giving “serious thought” to running for president in 2016.

Local media outlets report that Trump told the South Carolina Tea Party Coalition Convention in Myrtle Beach on Monday that he would be the best person to lead the country because he knows how to get things done.

Trump also called it “outrageous” that Mitt Romney may again make a White House bid.

Trump told the gathering that he was right in 2012 when he said he did not see a strong Republican candidate. He says the party went with Romney and he failed.

As for Jeb Bush as a Republican candidate, Trump said the last thing the nation needs is another Bush in the White House.
