Eleven more people have come forward since a Limerick man’s arrest Friday for allegedly taking payment for firewood he never delivered, the York County Sheriff’s Office said.

Sheriff William L. King Jr. said Saturday the additional complaints are expected to result in more charges being filed against Justin Nichols, 30, who was arrested on a charge of theft by deception. He was being held on $500 cash bail at York County Jail.

Police said Nichols was arrested twice before for allegedly running the same scam. Those cases are pending disposition in court.

Police said Nichols would advertise cut-and-split firewood online and was paid by customers but never delivered the wood.

Police asked anyone with similar complaints about Nichols to call the sheriff’s office at 324-1113.
