BRUNSWICK — The Mid Coast Hospital Auxiliary has completed its $120,000 pledge to upgrade the maternity ward infant security scanner.

The group paid the third $40,000 installment on its pledge earlier this month and intends to launch a new pledge drive this winter, President Ellen Hutchinson said in a press release.

Fundraisers for health career scholarships, the healing garden and the Teddy Bear Club at the hospital are planned this winter and spring.

First up is the “Sweets for the Sweet” Valentines Day bake sale on Friday, Feb. 13, in the hospital cafe corridor from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donations of home-made goods may be taken to the volunteer office Feb. 11 and 12 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
