BRUNSWICK — Cecile M. Levesque, 84, died peacefully Jan. 17 at Dionne Commons, following a long illness.

She was born in Brunswick on July 6, 1930, a daughter of Alfred and Delia Bernier Thibeault. She was educated at St. John’s School.

On August 30, 1952, she married Henrico T. Levesque, and they made their home in Brunswick.

Cecile worked at Verney Mill until its closing in 1955, and then was employed at Claire’s Restaurant for 30 years. She retired in 1993 from Shop ‘n Save in Brunswick, where she had worked for five years. Following retirement she remained active doing volunteer work, especially at Dionne Commons.

Levesque was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.

She loved spending time with her family, and also enjoyed yard sales, crocheting and jigsaw puzzles.

Levesque was predeceased by her husband, Henrico; a son, Clarence Levesque; and a brother, George Thibeault.

Surviving are a daughter, Nancy Orr, of Greene; a son, Marcel Levesque, of Brunswick; daughter-in-law, Becky Levesque; ex-son-in-law, Darrell Orr and his wife, Sandy; five sisters, Carmelle Thibeault, of Brunswick, Dorothy Rose, of Brunswick, Jeannette Painchaud, of Oklahoma, Yvonne Levesque, of Topsham, and Rita Forcier, of Oklahoma; four brothers, Larry Thibeault, of Topsham, Ernest Thibeault, of Topsham, Roger Thibeault, of Oklahoma, and Roland Thibeault, of California; five grandchildren, Tammy, Aimee, Shannon, Amanda and Jacob; three great-grandchildren, Cory, Ethan and Clead; numerous nieces and nephews; and the staff of Dionne Commons and CHANS, who were like extended family.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Jan. 22 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of All Saints Parish. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery in the spring.
