BIDDEFORD — Katie Couture scored the go-ahead goal with 3:09 remaining, and the University of Southern Maine went on to defeat the University of New England 3-1 in an ECAC East women’s hockey game Friday night at Harold Alfond Forum.

Kaleigh Heath’s goal 7:29 into the second period to erased a 1-0 deficit, and Julia Pearl added an empty-netter with four seconds left for the Huskies (5-11-1, 3-6-1 ECAC East).

Gabriella Moscato put in a rebound of a shot by Richelle Skarbowski 2:10 into the game for the Nor’easters (4-11-3, 1-8-1).

BOWDOIN 3, WILLIAMS 3: Ariana Bourque scored two goals and the Polar Bears (8-5-4, 4-3-2 NESCAC) overcame a 3-0 deficit to tie the Ephs (7-7-2, 4-3-2) at Williamstown, Massachusetts.

Rachel Kennedy tied it 5:53 into the third.

COLBY 3, TRINITY 2: Kat Mackey scored an unassisted short-handed goal 3:11 into overtime to lift the Mules (10-8, 3-8 NESCAC) over the Bantams (10-5-1, 3-5-1) at Waterville.

Lauren Guarente contributed two goals, including one on a power-play goal that tied it with 11:12 left in the third.

Jessica Thulin stopped 38 shots for the Mules.

MEN’S BASKETBALL

TRINITY 67, BOWDOIN 66: Jaquann Starks and Rick Naylor each scored 16 points and the Bantams (15-5, 5-1 NESCAC) held off the Polar Bears (13-5, 4-2) in overtime at Hartford, Connecticut.

Lucas Hausman scored 30 points and John Swords finished with 13 for the Polar Bears.

BATES 74, WESLEYAN 66: Graham Safford scored 31 points and the Bobcats (13-4, 3-2 NESCAC) recovered from a four-point halftime deficit at Lewiston.

Mike Boornazian added 13 points and Malcolm Delpeche finished with 13 rebounds for Bates.

AMHERST 83, COLBY 62: Connor Green scored 19 points and the Lord Jeffs (13-5, 3-3 NESCAC) built a 51-32 lead in the first half against the Mules (11-8, 3-3) at Amherst, Massachusetts.

Ryan Jann scored 14 points, Luke Westman added 12 and Pat Dickert finished with 10 for the Mules.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

WESLEYAN 69, BATES 56: Jess Cherenza scored 15 points and Kaylie Williams added 14 as the Cardinals (8-9, 1-4 NESCAC) downed the Bobcats (9-9, 0-5) at Middletown, Connecticut.

Nina Davenport had 29 points, nine rebounds and six steals for Bates. Allie Coppola finished 14 points and 14 rebounds.

(9) FLORIDA STATE 82, GEORGIA TECH 62: Adut Bulgak had 12 points and nine rebounds for the Seminoles (20-2, 7-1 ACC) in a win over the Yellow Jackets (13-9, 4-4) in Atlanta.

(19) PRINCETON 96, HARVARD 46: Amanda Berntsen scored a career-high 17 points for the visiting Tigers (18-0, 2-0 Ivy League) against the Crimson (8-9, 1-2).
