BRUNSWICK — The snow showers took a break on Saturday so that Skowhegan and Brunswick was able to make up a rescheduled game, with the Dragons Orange girls squad prevailing, 48-36 in high school junior varsity basketball action.

The Dragons benefited from a balance parade of scorers and a trapping defense that caused Skowhegan to turn the ball over as Brunswick took control of the game early with a 15-10 first quarter advantage.

The visitors were led by Lindsey Warren, who scored 11 points as Skowhegan battled throughout the contest.

The Dragons were led offensively by Aidan Sachs, who scored 10 points, while teammates Allie Eck, Brooke Barter and Maddie Brescia scored eight points each. Heather Kinee chipped in with 7 assists. Ketura Stinson continued her fine defensive play, helping to shut down Skowhegan’s inside game while blocking five shots to go along with seven rebounds.
