Bill Nemitz’s columns in the Portland Press Herald are one of the reasons I read the paper. His intelligence, insights, humor and compassion are evident in every piece he writes.
It was with great sadness that I read his column Feb. 1 where he revealed that his cancer has returned (“No longer symptom-free, I embark on my battle with cancer”).
I want to add my name to the list of his many readers who wish him and his family courage and determination as he fights this battle. I’m glad he draws strength from knowing that so many folks care.
