GORHAM — The Western Maine Conference Indoor Track Championships were held on Friday, with Freeport High School competing.

The Falcon girls finished with 17 points, good for 11th out of 14 teams, while the boys took 13th out of 15 squads.

In the girls meet, Greely won the title with 122 points, followed by York (98 points), Falmouth (95), Traip Academy (56.5) and Lake Region (52). Falmouth captured the boys championship with 168 points. York (129), Fryeburg Academy (78), Greely (44.5) and Yarmouth (38) rounded out the top five.

For Freeport, the top finisher was a thirdplace showing by Max Heathco in the junior shot put (34-01.50). Henry Jaques was fourth inthetwo-milerun(10:38.01),the4x800 relay placed fifth in 9:16.20, and Ramsey Dodge (senior shot put, 39-11), Chandler Vincent (one mile, 4:42.77) and Nick Wilson (long jump, 18-03.75) each placed sixth.

Three Falcon girls earned fourth place — Patricia Dupere (junior high jump, 4-02), Alice Murphy (junior shot put, 25-01) and Maddie Squibb (senior 400, 1:04.95). The 4 x 800 relay team was fifth in 10:31.71, while the 4 x 200 senior relay squad was sixth in 2:00.57. Also, Mikaela Fleenor was fifth in the junior 200 in 29.17.

Freeport next competes in the State Class B Championships at Bates College in Lewiston this upcoming Monday.
