The Scarborough Middle School ski team captured the Maine Junior State Championship Alpine title at Shawnee Peak last week.
Scarborough had an exciting team effort as repeat champions, in a three-way tie for the Giant Slalom title and winning the Slalom event and the Alpine title by one point. Eight teams from the region competed.
The Scarborough Middle School ski team includes, in front, Emily Johnson, Lauren Wagner, Ashley Sabatino, Ava McDonald, Julia Ryan, Maggie Carlson, Angelique Labelle and Ava Cayer.
