Brunswick Police Department released this image Thursday of a male suspect who robbed The Bank of Maine at 137 Maine Street at around 2 p.m. Wednesday. He is believed to have fled in a car made by Saab.
Brunswick police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are investigating a robbery reported at the Bank of Maine branch on Maine Street Wednesday afternoon.
The Bank of Maine branch at 137 Maine St., in Brunswick was robbed by an armed man who escaped on foot Wednesday afternoon and remains at large. The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-20’s, weighing 140 to 150 pounds. He is said to have been wearing a “Safari-type” hat, a tan neck warmer or scarf and a tan jacket, white-washed jeans and white sneakers.
Waltz said Thursday that the hat appears to be a dark khaki pith helmet. New information indicates the suspect may have fled the scene in a car, which appears to be a Saab.
No one was hurt during the incident. The Brunswick Police Department and the FBI continue to investigate the robbery.
