Harpswell Heritage Land Trust is dedicated to protecting the natural resources of Harpswell, Maine. With a mission to protect Harpwell’s natural open spaces for current and future generations, the trust is also dedicated to education and conservation.

Throughout the year, Harpswell Heritage Land Trust offers events to the public to help educate about the area, and so the public can take in Harpswell’s natural beauty. Here are some upcoming events offered by HHLT.

Rain or Shine Hiking Group: The group is geared toward young children and the adults in their lives. Every Thursday at 10 a.m. On Feb. 26 the group will explore Curtis Farm Preserve in Harpswell. Harpswell Family Outing: Songs and Stories and a Craft Project: February’s Harpswell Family Outing is a fabric craft project and nature-themed songs and stories. 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Cundy’s Harbor Library, 935 Cundy’s Harbor Road, Harpswell. Wednesday, March 4

Voices of the Sea Oral History Project Opening: The celebration and display of the “Voices of the Sea” oral history project showcases Harpswell Coastal Academy (HCA) students’ work interviewing local people and creating audio documentaries about Harpswell and its marine heritage. The project is a collaboration between HCA and Harpswell Heritage Land Trust. 6:30-8 p.m. Harpswell Heritage Land Trust, 153 Harpswell Neck Road, Harpswell. Free. Snow date is March 5.
