BARTLETT, N.H. – A 17-year-old skier has been found safe after he skied off a trail at the Attitash Mountain Resort and was lost for hours.
The resort said the teen, who was from Massachusetts, went out with a friend Thursday morning on the trail when he skied toward a drainage area located between Attitash and Bear Peak mountains. The teen had sent text messages to his friend and to his parents indicating he was lost by Tuesday afternoon.
The resort’s ski patrol, Fish and Game Department and others took part in the search. He was found at about 9:30 p.m. and hiked with others to the base.
