Firefighters were able to bring an attic fire in South Portland under control in about 15 minutes Tuesday morning, authorities said.

The fire was reported at 54 Huntress Ave. at 7:13 a.m.

The fire appears to have been caused by a wood stove chimney.

Everybody had gotten out of the house by the time firefighters arrived and nobody was injured.

Residents will have to find somewhere else to stay pending repairs to the house.
