Maine State Police are investigating the death of a Troy man whose body was found inside his home early Saturday.

Waldo County sheriff’s deputies were called to the home of Steven Hodgdon, 49, at 188 Rutland Road around 2:30 a.m. Saturday, according to Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety. They found Hodgdon’s body when they arrived.

Hodgdon lived in the home with his teenage son, who has now been taken to live with other relatives, McCausland said.

An autopsy at the state medical examiner’s office in Augusta is scheduled for Sunday, he said.
