WEST BATH — Herbert X. Jackson, 74, left this world to be with the Lord and his beloved mother Anna on March 13, 2015, in Auburn, surrounded by family members. Herb was defined by many by his great sense of humor and his love for his family. He was one of six children born to Maurice and Anna (Guay) Jackson.

Herb served his country from 1959 to 1962, serving in the U.S. Army. He worked at and subsequently retired from Bath Iron Works after many years in the electrical department. In his free time, he loved to hunt and fish and cherished spending time with his grandchildren.

Herb is predeceased by his parents, sister Clarine and brother Charles. He is survived by siblings Alfred Jackson of Bradley, Lorraine Thibeault of Old Town and Lawrence Jackson of Bradley.

Herb is survived by his loving wife Debbie (Levasseur) Jackson, his children Patricia Jackson Kramley and her husband Todd of Edgecomb; Michael Jackson and his wife Christina of Lisbon Falls; Susan Jackson and Janice Palmer of Brunswick, his grandchildren, Kristen Jackson Castonguay and her husband David; Justin Kramley, Brianna Kramley, Taylor Kramley, Joshua Kramley, Ethan Jackson, his greatgranddaughters and his beloved dog “Gizmo,” as well many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal St., Brunswick, ME, on Tuesday, March 17 from 4 to 7 p.m. In place of flowers, donations can be made to Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice (Hospice House), 236 Stetson Road, Auburn, ME 04210.
