YARMOUTH — Charles Gardner, the man arrested in a 2012 burglary of the pharmacy at Hannaford supermarket on U.S. Route 1, has been indicted by a Cumberland County grand jury.

An indictment is not a finding of guilt, but a finding that enough evidence exists to prosecute.

Gardner, 33, was indicted on three Class C felonies for theft, burglary and aggravated criminal mischief in the Dec. 19, 2012, incident. He was charged with the crimes last December.

Police said at the time of the incident that Gardner entered through the roof of supermarket at 7 a.m. and stole $5,000 worth of narcotics from the pharmacy.
