AUBURN, Maine — A Mechanic Falls woman has pleaded not guilty to charges stemming from a home invasion in Poland authorities say was a scheme to obtain drugs.
Authorities say 37-year-old Shawna Wilson had called the victims at the home in December in hopes of buying heroin. She rode to the home in an SUV with three men and another woman.
Police say the men had baseball bats and a hammer that were used to threaten and assault the victims at the home. The victims were robbed and at least one was beaten.
Wilson was indicted on a felony charge of robbery.
The Sun Journal reports that her lawyer in court Tuesday asked that his client be transferred to a residential drug rehabilitation facility rather than jail. She was held on $7,500 bail.
