Paul Casavant, Hampden Academy sophomore: Won the mile (4:24.26) and was runner-up in the 2-mile (9:52.21) at the Class A state meet. Also finished eighth in the mile (4:27.99) at the New England championships.
Tucker Corbett, York senior: Won the 400 (51.69) and was second in the 200 (23.84) at the Class B state meet to lead his team to a third title in four years.
Michael Cuesta, South Portland senior: Won the long jump (21-21/4) and the triple jump (45-1/4) at the Class A state meet.
Jake Dixon, Cheverus senior: Took second at the Class A state meet in the 200 (22.82) and 400 (50.50). Finished fourth in the 300 (35.66) at the New England meet.
Justin Gagnon, Biddeford senior: Won the 55-meter hurdles (7.78) and took second in the triple jump (43-41/2) at the Class A state meet.
Mitchell Morris, Cape Elizabeth junior: Won the 2-mile at the Class B state meet (9:46.10) and took ninth at the New England championships (9:34.17).
Jordan Pidgeon, York senior: Was second in the Class B triple jump (42-91/4), and sixth in the long jump (19-21/4).
Hany Ramadan, Deering senior: Won the 200 (22.70) and 400 (49.78) at the Class A state championships, setting a Class A record in the 400. Finished third at the New England championships in the 600 (1:22.34).
Jacob Terry, Scarborough senior: Successfully defended his title at the Class A state championships in the 2-mile (9:49.76).
Xiaoyu Victor Yang, Fryeburg Academy junior: Won the triple jump (44-41/4) and high jump (6-4) at the Class B state meet. Also finished eighth in the high jump at the New England meet (6-3).
COACH OF THE YEAR
Jorma Kurry, Falmouth: Kurry coached the Yachtsmen to their first Class A state title, edging perennial favorite Scarborough, 59-56. The Yachtsmen won five Class B state championships from 2006-11 before moving up to Class A prior to last season.
