OLD ORCHARD BEACH — David E. Ledger, 78 of McCallum Drive, passed way Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at the Maine Medical Center.

David grew up in Williams-town, Massachu-setts.

He later moved to Maine and worked for Pinehurst Resort for many years as security. 

He was a member of Faith Lighthouse Church of Old Orchard Beach for more than 20 years. He was also a member of Green Mountain Club of Vermont.

David was an avid fisherman, hunter and a member of the NRA. He hiked the Whole Long Trail, High Peaks, and Mount Washington.

He is survived by: his wife, Hazel Ledger of Old Orchard Beach; a son, Andrew; daughters, Ruth, Wanda, and Pam; a sister, Elaine Ely Leaonard; and six grandchildren, Jeremy Miller, Jenna Beagle, Christie Haley, Markell Shea, Cassidy Shea and Isabella Ledger.

A memorial service will be held Sunday at 10 a.m. on April 12 at the Faith Lighthouse Church, 47 Smithwheel Road, Old Orchard Beach.
