Much to my surprise I found recently that the Alexander Group report commissioned by the Maine Department of Health and Human Services, which was exposed as a tissue of plagiarism, is still featured on the state DHHS website.

As a taxpayer, I was not happy to find out last year that state money had paid for Gary Alexander’s scissors-and-paste job. I am even less happy to find that it remains on the website, apparently as an official statement of policy.

As a former teacher, I am appalled to think of the example it sets for students. If the governor has any real concern about fraud and abuse, he should have it removed immediately.
